Sample Zine for Zinefest is DONE!

I drew a short sample zine for Zinefest. Yay! I observed when I went this year that many of the zine artists had freebees to give out in order to draw people in and promote their work and/or website. Finding this to be a good idea, I drew out a freebee. Each zine can be made from half a sheet of printer paper, thus saving money on printing. It's only 4 pages front and back including the cover, but the drawings are very detailed and small. For a sample zine, there isn't a need to fill other than putting out a sample of what kind of work you do and promote your website. Because of the easy criteria, I decided to draw whatever I wanted in the zine. All I need to do now is scan in the hardcopy, print it out, cut it up, and assemble. Each freebee zine costs me 3.5 cents. Not too bad! I'm glad to have done SOMETHING zinefest-related accomplished(aside from starting a blog). I'll post pics of it soon.

  1. This zine is really cute. If you want help assembling zines to distribute or making kandis, I'd be interested to learn how. Good job so far!
